We have engineered a complete system to use advanced Sinker Loop pile Machinery coupled with the insertion of yarns through a dedicated system that laid-in yarns (weft-like) elements into the knit structure. This machine is primarily an Automatic Circular Knitting Machine that easily creates seamless tube construction while immediately deploying structural yarns in a similar way to woven yarns. The output from a Circular Textile Machine utilizing this method will provide fabrics that are structurally sound, dimension-ally stable, and endless possibilities in versatility. The process is superior in terms of fabric production for Geo-textiles, implants in medical and bio-sciences, automotive elements, and composite reinforcements.

 

Manufacturing Process Features: Mastering the Knit-Weave Structure

 

Recognizing the unique characteristics of a knit-weave hybrid requires precise engineering, like no other. The machine's primary benefits revolve around the ability to structure complex structures while running at a higher speed:

  • Dual-Action Fabrication: The new machine carries out actions conventionally performed with a traditional Weft Knitting Machine (i.e. loop formation using needles and cams) and employ a separate set of feeders, or guides, that are not involved with the knitting process, to apply non-knitted (laid-in) yarns across the full width of the fabric. This allows a full Circular Knitting Machine Sinker Pile structure to be form with inlaid yarns that help stabilize the structure during stretching;
  • Electronics-Driven Yarn Layering System: The new machine contains a contemporary electronic control system to calibrate timing and tension of laid-in yarns, for perfectly stable and not destabilizing the existing structures, the laid yarns themselves can be laid flat to add stability beyond a standard Double Jersey Circular Knitting
