Common faults and troubleshooting methods in the operation of spandex knitting machines are as follows:
1. Yarn threading and startup preparation stage
The bobbin library does not rotate: usually because the ratchet part is blocked by lint or waste yarn. It is necessary to disassemble the parts of the yarn library and remove the lint or waste yarn to restore it. It is recommended to thoroughly clean the area with compressed air every week for prevention.
The bobbin is frequently withdrawn by the bobbin changing device: the failure is often caused by dirt on the surface of the middle yarn detection device. Cleaning the detection surface can solve the problem. Regular cleaning is the key to prevention.
2. Operation and monitoring stage
Flying spandex (flying silk): Improper distance between the yarn feeder and knitting needles is the main reason. It is necessary to readjust the position of the yarn feeder and appropriately increase the take-up tension.
Turning spandex (turning yarn): Caused by too small spandex tension or improper position of the sinker/needle plate. The spandex tension should be increased (for example, 18tex cotton yarn with 12-15g tension), and the positional relationship between the knitting needle and the sinker should be checked and adjusted.
Broken spandex or tight spandex: It may be caused by the knitting needle/sinker wear, the position of the yarn feeder is too high/far, the yarn tension is too high or the yarn feeder is blocked. It is necessary to replace worn parts, adjust the position and tension of the yarn feeder, and clean the machine.
Eating spandex: Caused by the knitting position of the yarn and spandex being too close or the tension mismatch. It is necessary to adjust the knitting distance between the two and check the spandex quality and tension settings.
3. Other key operations
Improper operation of the tension device: The winding of the yarn in the tension disk will lead to unstable tension, uneven winding and end breakage. It needs to be disassembled and cleared of debris according to specifications.
The scissors are not sharp: Failure to cut the yarn will lead to problems such as double yarn and repeated cutting of the yarn clearer. Scissors should be replaced with new ones, and old scissors can be sharpened and used again.
4. Maintenance and Prevention
Regularly check and clean key parts such as the middle yarn detection device, tension plate, yarn feeding nozzle, etc. to prevent dirt accumulation.
Pay attention to the wear and tear of wearing parts such as knitting needles and sinkers, and replace them in time.
Keep the machine clean to prevent flying dust from clogging the machine and affecting its operation.
